Can I update my own website?
We can build websites so that you can update it yourself.
However, there is an extra hosting fee cost for this.
(between $30 to $35 a month in total) and this is a standard industry fee.
However, Please let us tell you why you may not want to do this.
Most website firms love building websites for you that you can update yourself because they can charge you more and they do not have to do any of the extra work.
However, If you need a hand with it or need them to help you update it, they will charge you for it. We feel this is unethical.
Why should you be charged a fee for a service they already charge you for?
Also, keep in mind.. How often do you change your website or add content?
If you update it less than 6 times a year you will be paying $40 a month for the privilege.. just in case you need to change it.
However, with OzWebcentre we know that most website owners only want to update their site once or twice a year and most changes can be done in an hour.
OzWeb charges $25 an hour for changes.. so if you update your site once a year it will cost you $25, instead of the $500 you would be paying to other website firms just for a once a year update. Why pay $475 more every single year?
Also, we will not charge you for little changes that take 5 minutes, but the big firms do and they charge $40 an hour plus! even if it is a 5 minute change.
So before you think about how wonderful it would be to update your own site, also think about the fact that you are being charged $500 plus per year for the privilege.
Till next time,
Regards
Troy
